Employee Onboarding

Struggling to communicate organisational culture, values, or expectations to multinational employees? Delivering onboarding training to employees in their native languages ensures everyone can access, understand, and retain key information. This sets multinational employees up to succeed and fosters an inclusive work environment.

Health & Safety

Language barriers can severely impede multinational employees’ understanding of key health & safety guidelines. Translating health & safety eLearning modules guarantees all employees can comprehend and adhere to key safety guidelines. This helps organisations to better safeguard employees and promotes health & safety compliance.

Upskilling & Reskilling

Needing to upskill your multinational workforce to tackle skills gaps arising from a rapidly evolving business landscape? Localising your Upskilling and Reskilling eLearning can enable you to do so rapidly and equitably. This inclusive approach fosters engagement and retention, thereby not only improving learning outcomes but also propelling organisational success.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Engaging your multinational employees with Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) training is essential, but can be challenging. By ensuring DEI eLearning is accessible to multinational staff in their native language, organisations move beyond token DEI efforts by ensuring every employee can contribute to the dialogue on diversity and inclusion.

Why AST Language Services?

eLearning Localisation

Effective Multilingual eLearning not only speaks to multinational employees, it resonates with them. In industry terms, that means that eLearning content must be localised, not just translated. Whilst many translations providers market localisation as an expensive add-on, we include it in our standard service offer. Our qualified linguists translate into their native language, ensuring they understand the references and nuances that will engage multinational learners.

eLearning Expertise

With 20 years of industry experience, we’ve amassed a successful portfolio in Learning & Development. We’ve translated Health & Safety training programmes for international corporations, DEI eLearning modules for large UK companies, and healthcare & medical educational materials for local charities. Our recent partnership with eLearning provider,  Marked Improvement, has deepened our expertise in this rapidly.

eLearning Technology

AST Language Services utilises advanced technology to streamline eLearning translation. We seamlessly integrate with most Learning Management Systems, supporting .xlf export and right-to-left text. Our smart glossaries ensure long-term consistency across future projects, whilst employing Translation Memory tools promotes consistency and reduces turnaround times. Our team of skilled translators then refine content to resonate effectively with learners.

Process

1

Step 1, Getting Started.

We will begin by discussing your project needs. You'll share the languages you require and any guidance you seek, such as visual content localisation or file formats. After receiving your source files, we'll send you a quote detailing costs and turnaround time. We handle various file types from Learning Management Systems, including .xlf, .docx, .srt, and .mp4. Need subtitles? That's no problem. We'll require (or create) a transcript before getting started.

2

Step 2, Moving Forward with your Project.

Once you've accepted the quote, we'll assign your project to experienced translators specialising in eLearning and native to your target languages. We ensure our linguists have access to relevant references, like previous translations and glossaries, to maintain consistency and capture the right tone.

3

Step 3, Client-Translator Communication.

Our translators take the time to understand your glossaries and communication guidelines, ensuring your terminology, tone, and localization needs are met. They'll expertly localize your content and offer guidance on visual materials if necessary. If they have any questions along the way, they'll reach out to you for clarity, keeping everyone on the same page.

4

Step 4, Updating our Resources and Delivering your Project.

Once your project is completed, we update our tools with new Translation Memory (TM) sentences and terminology for future projects. Your localised eLearning content will be delivered in your preferred file formats (.xlf, .srt, .mp4), complete with burnt-in subtitles and proofing if necessary. It's that simple!
